Emotions are mental sensations!
Emotions are mental sensations! They color your life and allow you to experience all of the joys and sorrows of life. They are vital to your functioning as a healthy,vibrant human being and are genetically determined, but they can change during a lifetime. Both biological and social variables may alter your set of emotions and this explains why they change through the various stages of life. They are not tools of cognition. You must differentiate between your thoughts and emotions with full clarity and precision.
Emotions are not really understood or resolved,their childish tendencies are merely suppressed rather than developed into maturity. They are abstract concepts and most animals are unable to display any behaviors that would indicate an ability to think on such a level. Emotions also prepare your body internally for the action you need to take to maintain your goals and desires.These mental sensations are important and must be kept moving through the mind for wellness to be maintained and are ancient strategies of social regulation. They are triggered by the perception that the fulfillment of a need,which has been either satisfied or threatened or that a loss has occurred. There are too many and various to be studied all at once!
Emotions are viewed as modes of perception and give us access to certain sorts of knowledge.They are perhaps signals from the subconscious that tell you a lot about what you really choose and are strong clues pointing to problems and dismissing them is a mistake.They influence all aspect of behavior. If you are having mixed emotions,seek out some counseling if you are having a really hard time dealing with them. Stay detached from any dramas that don’t really involve you. Your life is complicated enough. Keep it simple and you will be ok. :)
